Some medical problems respond very well to just western medicine, some do not.  Some respond very well to just Chinese medicine and some not as well.  Some pets and conditions require a combined approach Usually this is because of differences in the individual patient, not the particular condition being treated.  Offering both a Western and TCVM approach allows us to serve all pets, no matter how they respond to a particular approach.

Root cause means looking for what is actually causing a problem instead of just treating its symptoms. Most western or allopathic approaches just treat symptoms.  if your pet has a problem, they give you a pill to treat the symptoms of that problem.  This usually does nothing to help the actual problem or even find out what root cause of that problem is. We prefer to take a more balanced approach…let’s make your pet comfortable while we look for the cause of his or her problem and start to work on or solve that problem.  Addressing root causes solves the issues at a deeper level, it doesn’t just manage symptoms.

Offering wellness services means that we can do routine blood work and fecal exams, vaccines as necessary and annual physical examinations and parasite preventatives. However, because we also offer alternative care, this means that we love to have discussions with you about other tests that might be appropriate for your pet, such as fecal microbiome testing, routine vaccination vs. vaccine titer testing where appropriate, wellness supplements and diet changes or addition to help your pet live the longest healthiest life possible.
